British Indie band The Loft Club unveil the official music video for their single "Flicker", which features Grammy Award-winning singer Lisa Loeb. The video was shot and directed by Alice Deuchar, with animations by band member Jamie Whyte.
"Flicker,"
available now through Lightyear/Caroline/Universal, is a melodic and
ardent ballad, with
heartfelt, soaring melodies, alongside harmonious arrangements
of guitar, bass and drums. The video perfectly depicts the song, with
feel-good
summery scenes.
The single has already been featured on RecordoftheDay.com, and received media support, with Clash
magazine saying "elements of folk and Americana, all kept together by an inherent romantic streak."
Exeter-based, The
Loft Club, are a 60s-inspired band, consisting of Daniel Schamroth,
Jamie Whyte, Kieran
Chalmers, Amy O'Loughlin and Dan Wright. The band are
currently penning material for their debut album scheduled for early
2019, with their debut EP
entitled Heart's Desire out now.
Singer-songwriter
Lisa Loeb started her career with the platinum-selling song "Stay (I
Missed You)" from
the film Reality Bites. It spent three weeks at Number 1 on
the US Billboard charts in 1994, and spent fifteen weeks in the UK
Singles chart, where
it reached Number 6. Lisa has since recorded six studio
albums, including the Grammy-nominated 'Firecracker' in 1997, and such
hits as "I Do" and "Do
You Sleep?" have joined "Stay" in reaching Billboard's Top-20.
In early 2018, the Dallas native took home an award for her latest
album 'Feel What U
Feel' at the 60th annual Grammy Awards.
"Flicker," was produced by Jolyon Holroyd, and mixed/mastered at Magic Garden Studios by Gavin Monaghan,
whose credits include Editors, Ryan Adams, and Paolo Nutini.
