By outright refusal of this President to hearken to the voice of reason and set in motion, credible modalities that will lead to the progressive restructuring of this country, it is now established that this government is NEVER serious with WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION.
Recovering stolen and embezzled public funds, from heartless individuals that found their ways into governance, the same thing this government has been doing, DOES NOT TRANSLATE TO WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION, because every responsible government should not just recover stolen funds, but will prosecute and jail the criminals, and ensure they will never come near public offices in the future.
War Against Corruption is to restore the destroyed bureaucracy of government office, at least, as it was before the military incursion into politics, and make it impossible for anyone to even steal government money. This is what we should be doing.
As long as this government is not wholly serious towards crippling the operational fangs of treasury looters, then anyone still seeing APC as the agent of change is living in fools' paradise.
The beneficiaries of the status quo are the real enemies of Change. This is what Mr. President has become. At least, I am aware that Senator Tinubu and other lead APC chieftains have called for Restructuring. But for Mr. President to overrule everyone and insist he is not going to adopt the process means simply that what we have here is not democracy.
Let Nigerians of all ages know who their problem is. 1999 Constitution as created by the military, paralysed the nation by concentrating the entire Nigeria on the office of the president. The states and local governments depend on the federal government to survive.
Restructuring will among other things, decentralise power from the office of the president, by creating financially independent states or regions. There shall be a massive boost in the economy as various states or regions will be forced to become creative, vibrant, progressive and competitive. The country will be better for it.
By insisting on this same structure that has crippled the nation, leading to massive unemployment and mass exodus of our young brains to other countries, it means the public servants and administrators we now have in place are not what we need in a time like this.
Know your problem and decide wisely.
